Sarah Klevorn Dane holds the Master of Arts in Music Education from the Eastman School of Music and the Bachelor of Music Education with Certificate in Violin Performance from Florida State University. She currently serves as orchestra director at North Kirkwood Middle School, teaches Beginning Violin and Viola, and assists at Kirkwood High School. Her students have performed at the Missouri Music Educators Association (MMEA) Conference (2020, 2024), and earned the Gold Rating and Adjudicator Awards at the National Heritage Festival (2016, 2020, 2024, 2026). This year, North Kirkwood Middle School Orchestra has also been selected to compete at the National Orchestra Festival of the American String Teachers Association in Chicago, IL.

Mrs. Dane is active in the music community across the state, currently also serving as the Vice President for Orchestra for MMEA and Conductor of the Young People's Concert Orchestra at Webster Community Music School. 

Previously, she served on the faculty at Winter Park High School in Orlando, Florida, where she was the recipient of the Winter Park High School Spirit Award for teaching. During her tenure, the WPHS Full Orchestra was named an Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra of Distinction.

Her conducting studies include work with Dr. Patrick Dunnigan at Florida State University, and her orchestral training includes study with Corinne Stillwell at Florida State University and Juliana Athayde, Concertmaster of the Rochester Philharmonic. Her orchestral performance experience includes the Metropolitan Orchestra of St. Louis, Cordancia Chamber Ensemble, and Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra.
